Personal Brand Identity Design
Shaping a brand for a Forbes Business Council Member.
Project description
Dr. Lola is a Forbes-recognized thought leader in the tech and business space. This project involved crafting a personal brand identity that reflects her bold, strategic presence while remaining approachable, elegant, and timeless. The goal was to create a visual identity that supports her professional positioning across speaking engagements, media, and personal platforms.
Process
This category details the step-by-step approach taken during the project, including research, planning, design, development, testing, and optimization phases.
Discovery & Brand Strategy
The project began with a one-on-one session where I worked closely with Dr. Lola to understand her personal story, core values, and audience. We clarified how she wanted to be perceived — as a bold, credible, and elegant thought leader — and identified key traits her visual identity needed to reflect.
Exploration & Concept Development
Using those insights, I developed mood boards and initial concepts that explored typography, color, and logo directions. Each direction was designed to express clarity and strength while maintaining a sense of warmth and approachability.
Design System Creation
Once the direction was locked in, I created a modern logotype and built out a full identity system — including typography styles, color palette, layout rules, and graphic elements — forming a strong foundation for her brand across media.
Application & Delivery
The final brand system was packaged into a polished style guide and applied to key assets like presentation templates, social media headers, and digital documents. This ensured consistency and flexibility across all of Dr. Lola’s personal and professional touch points.
Results
Dr. Lola now has a brand identity that supports her growing influence and professional credibility. The style guide made it easy to maintain consistency across her materials, while the thoughtful design elements helped elevate how her message is perceived. The branding has since been used in investor decks, social media profiles, and keynote presentations, helping her present with clarity and confidence.
